I have many recordings of different stations made over several years. Only some recent ones appear on this site. Please email me for information.
July 2007 Recordings of The Reading Service New Zealand on 3935KHz (approx.) Levin, 175°17'E 40°40'S
It is mutual here around 15 September 18.20 UTC. And around 07.04 5 November. G4ZFQ 1.31°W 50.71°N
This signal is weak, will require very exceptional conditions to identify audibly. This station has been reported on 3935.065KHz, the signals I receive are close to that, and appear, peak and fade out around the expected times. It is the only station listed on that frequency.
The carrier of this station is distinctive, it is not stable, moves randomly about +/- 1Hz. In addition it jumps by up to 1Hz at irregular intervals. ZL1BPU supplied a plot which matched my reception at that time. The station manager has confirmed a period when I observed no signal. I consider this as verified.

The green "frequency" trace gives an idea of the relative received frequency. Long term variations could be due to receiver drift. Short term variations and widening could be propagation changes, sometimes an unstable transmitter. A smooth line helps to confirm the signal is being recorded correctly. Spikes show that interference or weak signals are upsetting the recording. I keep the SpecLab waterfall images to help confirm results.
